Tuż za nim: Sentimental Value (osiem nominacji) i Sinners (siedem). Hamnet w reżyserii Chloe Zhao, ekranizacja powieści Maggie O'Farrell o śmierci syna Williama Szekspira, trafi do większości europejskich kin na początku przyszłego roku i ma sześć nominacji.

Tymczasem film Jafara Panahiego It Was Just An Accident – jeden z naszych ulubionych w tym roku – zdobył nominacje w kategoriach: Najlepszy film (dramat), Najlepszy film nieanglojęzyczny oraz Najlepszy reżyser. Film będzie reprezentował Francję w oscarowej kategorii Najlepszy film międzynarodowy.

Co znamienne, pięć z sześciu filmów nominowanych w kategorii Najlepszy film nieanglojęzyczny pochodzi od dystrybutora NEON: It Was Just An Accident (Francja), No Other Choice (Korea Południowa), The Secret Agent (Brazylia), Sentimental Value (Norwegia) oraz Sirāt (Hiszpania). Szósty, The Voice of Hind Rajab (Tunezja), jest od dystrybutora Willa.

W tym roku zabrakło dwóch głośnych tytułów: Wicked: For Good nie dostał nominacji w kategorii Najlepszy film (komedia lub musical), a Avatar: Fire And Ash pominięto w kategorii Najlepszy film.

Wśród produkcji telewizyjnych prowadzą The White Lotus i Adolescence, odpowiednio z sześcioma i pięcioma nominacjami.

Amerykańska komiczka Nikki Glaser ponownie poprowadzi tegoroczną galę Złotych Globów. Helen Mirren odbierze nagrodę im. Cecila B. DeMille’a, a Sarah Jessica Parker zostanie uhonorowana nagrodą im. Carol Burnett.
